Turkish Coffee Machine with Grinder

Overview
About
This project is about a wi-fi connected fully automatic Turkish Coffee Machine that grinds the coffee. Roasting and grinding the coffee just before consumption helps to maximize the flavor and aroma that can be obtained from the coffee. The product grinds the coffee with appropriate particle size distribution and quality criteria to give the freshest and most aromatic coffee drinking experience, starting from the bean.
The Problem
When Turkish coffee is taken as ground, it loses its aromatic properties shortly after the package is opened. The storage period and condition of bean coffee are more flexible than ground coffee. It is very important for users that ground coffee can be obtained from the bean just before drinking it without losing its aromatic properties.
Project Flow
At the beginning of the project, I tried to determine a road map to follow.

Discover
Research
For centuries, Turkish coffee has had a very important place among Turkish cultural values with its taste, smell, preparation, presentation, and drinking. Turkish coffee, which has become a custom during conversations, after dinner, during hospitality, and asking for the girl's hand in marriage is usually made with a coffee pot, and this process requires a special experience. Problems such as correct adjustment of the amount of coffee and sugar, sufficient foam formation, and prevention of overflow have led to the introduction of commercial products to the market.
Without breaking its tradition, I tried to create a better user experience. First, I examined some articles about Turkish coffee culture and its past. Then, made a market analysis.

Turkish Coffee Preparation Flow
After researching the Turkish coffee together with the process from gathering the coffee to preparation, I brought together the data I obtained from this research. Afterward, I created the flows for both traditional way and using a coffee machine stages of preparation methods.

Traditional Way
With a Machine

I started from the very beginning to define what the new product should have. I compared the stages of traditional Turkish coffee making with the machine. Then I created I flow study for an autodosing coffee machine.
Flow Study of Auto Dosing Turkish Coffee Machine
I created a draft flow about understanding the steps that should be in the current product.

Define
The User Journey Mapping Workshop
Defining the Objectives
To understand users' pain points, goals, frustrations, motivations, and requirements who use Turkish coffee or grinder filter coffee at home; An user journey mapping workshop with our stakeholders was planned for a Turkish coffee machine with a grinder concept.

I wanted to capture multiple touchpoints for multiple personas so I created 3 personas as well as 3 multiple groups for this workshop. The workshop's participants were the decision-makers, and the stakeholders related to our previous coffee products.
The workshop had 2 steps;
1- Creating each persona's journey map.
2- Dot voting for the gain and pain points.

At last, once the teams map everything, they identified the touchpoints where the frustrations and motivations are at their peak. Then, voted on what need to be prioritized. After the workshop, I gathered the ones which matches with our business goals and users' satisfaction for each persona.
Ideate
I created the product requirements by considering all the research outputs and the steps that the user follows while making the Turkish coffee and I started to list product's features.

According to the research outputs, the product should have both a ground coffee and a coffee bean hopper. Thinking that listed features are included in the product, I created two separate a final usage flows.
